Monica, who plays Delores in the movie, arrived alongside her partner Tim Burton, who is the director of the film. Catherine O’Hara, 70, looked as glamorous as even in a black dress adorned with flower details and a stylish black clutch bag.
Willem Dafoe looked dapped in a navy and black suit as he smiled on the red carpet. Jenna Ortega, who started acting as a child, expressed some regrets about her early career but praised her mother’s vigilant protection in an interview with the New York Times.
She told the publication: “My mother had seen the way that other children maybe weren’t protected or weren’t as looked after. She watched over me like a hawk, so I think for her, it was more empathizing and wishing she somehow could have done something to help.”
Reflecting on her mother’s support, Jenna added: “She just called me saying she was so grateful that things were OK and that she was there to witness everything.”
Jenna has openly expressed gratitude for her mother’s unwavering support, confessing she “wouldn’t change anything” about her career. She first shot to stardom following her successful role in the comedy series Jane The Virgin a decade ago.
She has since showcased her versatility in projects like Netflix’s You, Yes Day, and more recently, The Fallout, Wednesday, and the iconic Scream franchise. Wednesday season two is expected to be released by Netflix in late 2024 or early 2025.
However, it has been revealed that Jenna almost didn’t take on the role of Wednesday. She told The Sunday Times: “I got the email, passed on it. I had done so much TV in my life, all I’ve ever wanted to do is film. The only reason I went back is because Tim is such a legend, and we just happened to get along very well. But even then I said, ‘Ah, no — I think I’m OK’ a couple [more] times.”
