Jennifer Anniston’s ex-husband, Justin Theroux, has revealed he still feels protective over the Friends star.
Justin, 53, who is journalist, Louis Theroux’s cousin, married Jennifer in 2015 before they split up two years later. The Hollywood actress has not married again and says she’s at peace with not having any children.
However, in June, Jennifer criticised President Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, who called childless women “miserable”. Jen questioned Vance’s anti-IVF stance as he made disparaging comments about Kamala Harris and her “bunch of childless cat ladies, who are miserable about their own lives”.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the actress eloquently posted: “Mr Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day.”

The pair previously described their separation as “mutual and lovingly made”. Speaking about their split, Justin, who is now engaged to Nicole Brydon Bloom, said: “We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”
Jennifer and Justin began dating in 2011, after they both worked on the film comedy Wanderlust. They were engaged in August 2012, and married in a surprise ceremony at their LA home in August 2015, but by 2018 it was all over.
Jen spoke out about the end of the relationship to InStyle magazine six years ago. She said: “It’s pretty crazy. ‘The misconceptions are ‘Jen can’t keep a man,’ and ‘Jen refuses to have a baby because she’s selfish and committed to her career.’ Or that I’m sad and heartbroken… First, with all due respect, I’m not heartbroken. And second, those are reckless assumptions. No one knows what’s going on behind closed doors.”
Jennifer has spoken candidly about her fertility struggle after unsuccessful rounds of IVF. She revealed in Allure in 2022: “I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road. My late 30s, 40s, I’d gone through really hard s**t, and if it wasn’t for going through that, I would’ve never become who I was meant to be. I was trying to get pregnant.”
The actress met Brad Pitt in 1998 before they married in 2000. However, their relationship came to a swift end when Brad fell in love with Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith. By January 2005, Brad and Jen announced their split. It didn’t take long before the Benjamin Button actor was parading around on a beach with Angie and her son, Maddox.
In an unearthed interview with Vanity Fair from September that year, Jen, then 36, expressed her shock and upset over rumours that Angelina was already pregnant – just two months before her divorce was even finalised. For years she was scrutinised for being childless, with cruel rumours suggesting she had refused to have children with her ex-Brad for the sake of her career.
