With the season up and running and less than a fortnight of the summer transfer window left to go, Manchester United have a few remaining pieces of business they need to wrap up

Manchester United have less than two weeks left to make some last-minute additions to their squad to help them improve on last season’s showing.
Erik ten Hag has already welcomed in four new faces, two of whom were already familiar to him. Former Ajax defenders Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt have joined from Bayern Munich, following Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro to Old Trafford.
United began their campaign with a win against Fulham thanks to a late Zirkzee strike. Their manager may well feel there are gaps left to plug, though, especially after last season’s injury woes.
We may well also see some more departures before the window shuts, as Ten Hag streamlines his squad. That’s where some of our focus lies as we bring you all the latest.
Fulham revive McTominay interest Fulham haven’t given up on luring Scott McTominay to Craven Cottage. Marco Silva’s side saw a bid knocked back earlier in the summer, and Sky Sports suggest they could be ready to improve on that £20m bid.
Napoli are also in the mix, and their opening day Serie A defeat could spur them into action. Manager Antonio Conte suggested more signings were on the way after a dismal 3-0 reverse at Verona.
McTominay came on as a substitute in the Community Shield and again in the Premier League opener. Nearly half of his 32 league appearances last season came from the bench, but only two United players bettered his return of seven goals in the competition.
Pellistri exit talks in progress Manchester United have opened talks with Panathinaikos over a move for Facundo Pellistri, according to The Athletic. United want around £8.5million for the Uruguay international, who is in the final year of his contract.

United have welcomed Amad and Jadon Sancho back into the fold in the last 12 months after both looked close to an exit at various points. With plenty of competition for places, the club are not expected to stand in the way of a move for Pellistri, though Greek side Panathinaikos aren’t the only interested party.
Berge and Ugarte still options Manchester United have lodged a bid for Sander Berge which falls short of Burnley’s valuation, according to The Mail. The same publication indicates the Norwegian remains an option, but that United would prioritise Manuel Ugarte if Paris Saint-Germain lower their asking price.
PSG are thought to want their money back on Ugarte, who joined from Sporting CP for around £60m last summer. The Uruguay international wasn’t part of Luis Enrique’s squad for the opening day win against Le Havre in Ligue 1.
Berge joined Burnley from Sheffield United for a reported £12m last summer, with the Clarets after £30m for tne Norway international. He has missed the first two games of the 2024-25 season as he works his way back form injury.
