Ant And Dec Mock GK Barry In Scathing Instagram Clip As Spider Creeps On I’m A Celeb Set

Ant and Dec made a jibe at GK Barry on Instagram last night – after a huntsman spider scurried on their I’m a Celebrity set.
The hosts shared a video with their 5.2million followers, which shows the large arachnid creep across the wooden floor of their set in Australia. Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly captioned the video: “A rare horseman spider on set #ImACeleb,” in reference to GK Barry’s gaffe earlier on the show on Monday.
GK, 25, mistakenly called a huntsman spider a “horseman spider” when she saw one in the jungle on Monday’s episode of the reality TV programme. The social media influencer’s error left viewers in stitches, with many posting their amusement on X, which was known as Twitter.
But Ant and Dec’s joke largely fell on deaf ears with many unaware – or had forgotten about – GK’s reference. Some of their Instagram fans corrected the Geordie duo, but one woman posted: “People not getting the joke – BUGGING me get it. GK called it a horseman they do know.”
When GK was confronted by the arachnid in the episode, people on X were quick to tease the star. One user said: “I’m so grateful GK Barry is in the jungle this year and not last…imagine a world without this interview.”
Another posted: “GK Barry calling the spider ‘a horseman'” followed by two laughing emojis. A third shared: “There’s a ‘horseman’, thank God GK Barry is in this jungle.”
The huntsman spider are so named because they hunt their prey, rather than catch it in webs. In their clip, Ant and Dec suggest huntsman spiders regularly creep onto their presenting platform, situated in the jungle just yards from the camp.
GK Barry, an internet personality who presents a podcast, was also praised in Monday’s episode of I’m a Celebrity for conquering the second Bushtucker Trial, the first one voted for by the public this year. She returned to camp with nine stars after her challenge, which was called The Vile Volcano.
Deep inside a volcano structure were a series of caves and tunnels which GK had to navigate in order to find hidden stars. GK had 10 minutes to find all 10 stars – but a range of animals were also in the confined space. At the klaxon, GK started the trial while Ant and Dec shouted motivational quotes such as: “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” Once in the volcano, she was met with snakes, spiders, rats and other creepy crawlies. But the Saving Grace host was screaming and swearing so much that Ant and Dec despaired: “We’re going to need to bleep a lot of this!”
